Color??? Who needs it?

Red, yellow, black, and white, they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world. Huck did this for Jim he loved him like a brother, so therefore his race couldn’t stop Huck’s and Jim’s love for one another.

  1. huck was able to see past jims skin color and see the person that he really is. its like when we were in kindergarden and first grade we made friends with all sorts of people regardless of ethnicity or wealth. – brad

  2. jesus does love evryone. even people our whole country dislikes, we are all equal in his eyes. in the end that is all that really matters, not skin color. black people and us are exactly alike. riley

  3. ch. 23 passage “I went to sleep…Jim was.” – this is the part where Huck sees Jim as a real person, not just as property. The most significant words in all of Huck Finn. -Ashleigh

  4. Amen Aaron! well said! I just have a quote from the book that just gives more evidence for what you stated. Huck Admits to himself “I do believe he cared just as much for his people as white folks does for their’n.” When Huck says this it points out that he understands that Black people love their family and are just as human as white people are!

  5. Yay! that was well said and i completly believe it. it amazes me how many people way back when and even today could have ever thought that blacks were not even to be considered has human beings. We are all created equal and should all be created equal, o how i wish Abe Lincoln had been born so much earlier.
